CR award booklet 09-10 is below:

To All Central Region Members,

Central Region is celebrating another year as a member of National Garden Clubs, Inc.  We are proud to have this opportunity to be the liaison between NGC and our seven states in the middle of America.

We are once again putting all the award information in the “Centerfold” for your easy use and removal.  Keep it with your other state award information as some of our projects may qualify for both awards.

We know you do many wonderful things as members of National Garden Clubs, Inc.  You can help us by honoring those who give their time and talent to help those in need or to beautify our environment or those who help by educating and promoting our theme, “The Future is Now”.  This can be done by promoting the projects our National President has suggested for us.

Award applications are to be sent to: Fran Stueck, 5589 22nd Avenue Trail, Vinton, Iowa 52349.  The latest information on NGC Awards can be found in the September/October, 2009 issue of The National Gardener. If you have any questions regarding these awards please contact Fran at the address listed here or by phone at (319) 472-3032, or by email at franstueck@yahoo.com.

We realize that each state has its own awards but the application requirements are simple. Unless otherwise noted, applications for Central Region may be in the form of a “brief”.   A “brief” is a short summary of the activity along with supporting photographs, letters, financial information, or publicity…whatever helps document your work.   Place it in a lightweight folder securing the pages (no loose pages) and mail to Fran.  Please include self addressed stamped envelope.    The Book of Evidence will not be returned without it

This is not a formal Book of Evidence, (except for the states garden clubs’ Unified Project and Historic Preservation Award #13).  Please do not send scrapbooks or loose items.

Special attention should be given to the time period and deadlines for each set of awards.  Do not miss deadlines!  Remember everyone can be a winner.  Start now.
