The Wisconsin Garden Club Federation (WGCF), National Garden Clubs, Inc (NGC) and the Central Region promote and encourage members, member clubs, district and state organizations to get involved in their communities through local projects that promote garden club objectives. These projects may include educating the public on gardening, landscape design, environmental issues and the art of floral design. Members may be involved in garden therapy projects or beautifying the Main Street of their hometown. Any of these projects, and other, may qualify for awards at the state, region or national level.
Central Region Awards are offered to recognize outstanding projects that advance the goals and objectives of Central Region and NGC. This recognition inspires, motivates and encourages others to further their efforts and apply for awards.
National Garden Club provides a way to recognize an d reward the work of their members, clubs and organizations which provide support to meet its goals.
The WGCF and NGC encourage the next generation of gardeners and environmentalists to participate in youth activities related to learning more about the world around us. Young people and educators interested in the youth activities and awards may contact their local garden club.
The Wisconsin Garden Club Federation founded in 1928 is a charter member of the National Garden Club organization. As an organization, we are proud of our heritage of developing relationships with fellow gardeners, learning, and gardening for good in our communities.
