Commemorating a special occasion, honoring a loved one or showing appreciation are just a few reasons to donate to the Wisconsin Garden Club Federation (WGCF) Memorial-Scholarship Fund. All contributions to this fund are in an account with the Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region. Every year, the fund’s interest transfers to the Scholarship Fund for use in awarding academic scholarships to students in Wisconsin. To receive a WGCF scholarship, students must pursue the study of horticulture, floriculture, landscape design/architecture, botany, forestry, agronomy, plant pathology, environmental studies, city planning, land management or related subjects.

Life Membership:
Donating to the scholarship fund can mean a Life Membership for you or someone you wish to recognize for their contributions to your club or gardening in general. For an avid garden club member, there is no better gift than the Life Membership. Consider purchasing all three Life Memberships described below.
  • The WGCF Life Membership is an honorary membership that was established in 1968. It originated to support the WGCF Memorial Scholarship Fund and shows pride in the Wisconsin Garden Club Federation. New Wisconsin Life Members are recognized at the WGCF Annual Convention. There is a one-time life membership contribution which is credited to the Memorial Scholarship Fund. A Life Member continues to pay annual club, district, WGCF and National Garden Club (NGC) dues.
  • Life Memberships may be purchased at any time throughout the year. They may be purchased by an individual or presented as a gift. Non-garden club members may be honored with a WGCF Life Membership, also. Recipients receive a certificate and Life Membership card.
  • To obtain a WGCF membership, fill out the appropriate form and send with one time contribution of $50.00 to WGCF Scholarship Fund, c/o Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region, Inc., 4455 W. Lawrence St, Appleton, WI 54914.

Life Memberships are available from the Central Region and National Garden Clubs, too. These memberships also support scholarship funds and The National Gardener – NGC’s quarterly newsletter.
  • To obtain a Central Region Life Membership fill out the appropriate form and send a one time contribution of $50.00 to the current Central Region treasurer. Your $50.00 is credited to the appropriate scholarship fund.
  • To obtain an NGC Life Membership, fill out the NGC Life Member form and send a one time contribution of $200 to NGC headquarters as indicated on the form. Your contribution is split and credited to NGC funds which support scholarships and The National Gardener. If requested, NGC life members receive a lifetime subscription to The National Gardener.
