The Wisconsin Garden Club Federation (WGCF) brings together gardeners of flowers, vegetables, prairies, woodlands and ponds. Members participate in civic beautification, garden therapy projects and wonderful tours. Youth learn the basics of how to plant anything from marigolds or carrots. Environmental issues such as the decline of the Monarchs, bees and other pollinators spark members into action to practice and encourage safe gardening practices. Members express their artistry through floral and landscape design. WGCF awards students with scholarships in horticulture and related fields. Educational opportunities abound for members, as well, through local programs and tours, state sponsored courses and conventions. There are 32 clubs and nearly 1000 members in the state. Membership in the WGCF includes membership in the National Garden Clubs, Inc – the largest volunteer gardening organization in the world. Other clubs and gardening groups are invited to investigate membership in WGCF. Expand your knowledge, meet great people and have fun – join a club today! |
