Flower Show School

PictureJudges at work at the St. Croix District Flower Show.
National Garden Clubs (NGC) provides training for flower show exhibitors and judges through Flower Show School. Anyone interested in enriching his or her knowledge of horticulture, floral design and flower show procedure is welcome to attend. The purpose of a flower show school is as follows.

  1.  To teach and accredit prospective judges and to provide opportunities for Accredited Judges to expand their knowledge and remain in good standing as a judge
  2. To create increased interest and knowledge in horticulture and design for all garden club members whether or not they are seeking to become NGC Accredited Flower Show Judges
  3.  To provide greater understanding of standards of exhibiting and judging of a Standard Flower Show as clarified in the Handbook for Flower Shows
  4. To promote flower shows of highest quality and educational value

The horticulture curriculum, design instruction and flower show handbook has been completely revamped.  To obtain a copy of the Handbook for Flower Shows, please visit the NGC online store.
